Monday Cardio

Today I did 25 minutes on the elliptical machine. Not much of a workout, but the rest of my body was kind of tired too so I skipped weight lifting. Hopefully tomorrow I don't feel as sluggish and do some real workouts.

Friday Dodgeball

Played dodgeball for an hour and a half. It really is amazing what a workout I get from playing this game. =P

Today I spent 25 minutes on the elliptical machine. Still a ways to go before I lose the weight I gained from Sunday's buffet! After that, I worked on my quads, calves, back, biceps, triceps, hip flexor, and some shoulders.

Monday Workout

On Monday I did 25 minutes on the elliptical machine. After that, I began to work on my quads, hamstrings, calves, chest, lats, abs, hip flexor, a bit of shoulders, and biceps.

Saturday Workout

On Saturday, I did 25 minutes of cardio on the elliptical machines with the moving handle bars. It feels weird to use them and I don't understand how other people use them. After that, I lifted some weights working on my quads, hamstrings, hip flexor, abs, triceps, chest, and some shoulders.

Friday Dodgeball

Today I played dodgeball for about 1.5 hours. It was a good workout and sweated a lot. The plan was to lift weights afterwards but I was too tired and sore to do so. Tomorrow I'll probably lift weights to finish off my split from Thursday.

Thursday Workout and Basketball

On Thursday I spent 25 minutes (6.36 miles) on the stationary bike. I also lifted some weights. I worked on quads, hamstrings, chest, some shoulders, abs, hip flexor, and biceps. Later on at night, I played basketball for an hour and a half as well.

Wednesday Full Workout

Today I rode on the stationary bike for the first time in a month probably. Rode for 25 minutes (6.53 miles) and then went to lift weights. I did 1 set for all muscles that I normally work out and worked on my abs too. Stomach is a little sore now, but it feels good to know I am still working out after 4 months.

Tuesday Workout

So I did another 25 minutes on the elliptical machine today. My knees weren't very sore for some reason, but I still think I should give it a rest and use the stationary bike for tomorrow's cardio. Lifted weights as well. Worked on hamstrings, quads, back, shoulders, a bit of chest, upper and lower abs, triceps, and hip flexor. Tomorrow, I will probably do a full body workout.

It feels like it's been forever since I last worked out. I did 25 minutes on the elliptical machine today and didn't feel as bad as I thought I'd be in for not working out in the last 6 days. Today I spent 25 minutes on the elliptical machine. I didn't bother lifting weights because my shoulder and forearm was sore from bowling. Hopefully it goes away so I can do some light lifting tomorrow. I'll try to play basketball later today so I'll be getting in a lot of cardio today.

Wednesday Stationary Biking

I just rode on the stationary bike today for 25 minutes (6.30 miles). Felt pretty tired before I started and even more tired after that.

Sunday Workout

Wow, can't believe I'm still working out. It's been almost three months now. Anyways, today I spent 25 minutes on the elliptical machine. I'm glad I stopped at 25 minutes because it felt like a cramp would come up sooner or later. After that, I finished off my split from yesterday. I did hamstrings, more quads, back, a bit of chest and shoulders, and then triceps. I think I will do a full set of muscles tomorrow.

Friday Lite Cardio

Today I did cardio on the stationary bike for 20 minutes (5.34 miles). I was going to do some weight lifting too but called in to work so I had to cut my workout short. Will make up for it this weekend though.

Thursday Basketball

Today I played basketball instead of doing cardio at the gym. It was a very good run and very tiring as well. I think I played for about 30-40 minutes. I don't think I should have taken about 8 shots of tequila before that though...

Wednesday Woohoo Workout

Today I spent 20 minutes on the elliptical machine going at a pretty hard pace. After that I finished the rest of my split from Tuesday. 3 sets for hamstrings, calves, back, shoulder, lats, and triceps. I am pretty much at a plateau now though so starting on Saturday, bumping cardio up by 5 minutes and will have to really watch the stuff I eat for a while. Been good about it by eating very low calorie foods at night like veggies and stuff but getting sick of it. Goal for the end of the month is to hit 177. Currently at 180.5 and have been there for a while now.

Today I had to work out during my lunch hour because of work. I did 20 minutes on the elliptical machine before lifting weights. I did 3 sets for my quads, lats, shoulders, chest, and biceps. It was the first time I've lifted weights in 4 days I think. It felt pretty good and not too sore afterwards. Tomorrow I need to finish the split.

Sunday Swim

I swam today for the first time in 2 weeks. Very tiring since I did 20 minutes on the elliptical machine first and one set of squats. My body is still too sore from dodgeball so I didn't bother to finish doing the weights. When I swam, I could only manage a few laps before my body got really tired. I ended up floating around in the pool instead.

On Friday I played dodgeball for almost 2 hours. It was a very good form of working out. By the end of it, my shirt was drenched in sweat. A good thing though is that my shoulder wasn't very sore from all the throwing. My body in general didn't feel too sore which works for me since I have to work out more on the weekend. =)

Thursday Full Body Workout

Today I did 20 minutes (5.10 miles) on the stationary bike. I definitely do not feel the same burn I get from the elliptical machine but at least my knee isn't very sore. After that, I did 1 set of weights for all the muscles I worked out on Tuesday and Wednesday. Body isn't very sore since it was only 1 set but we'll see how my body feels later in the day.

Wednesday Workout

I am writing the blog late once again. I really need to do this right after I work out. Anyways, on Wednesday I spent 20 minutes (5.08 miles) on the stationary bike and proceeded to finish my split. I worked on hamstrings, calves, back, a bit of shoulder, and triceps.

Tuesday Workout

Today I did some cardio and lifted weights. For cardio, it was 20 minutes on the elliptical machine. The left knee is starting to hurt a bit and it's probably because of my constant exercising. Tomorrow I think I will ride the stationary bike instead of the elliptical machine to see if that helps. Along with cardio, I lifted weights. Worked on my quads, chest, lats, and biceps.

Today I did 20 minutes on the elliptical machine while watching Josie and the Pussycats. After that, I finished up my split from Saturday. Worked on quads, shoulders, back, and triceps. The machines there are pretty nice but for some reason the weights feel heavier than the ones at EA. Maybe it's just me imagining things. Tomorrow will be strict cardio because my muscles are pretty sore. It's a good soreness though.

Didn't swim today. It was raining pretty hard so I just did some cardio on the elliptical machine. Did 20 minutes worth and will probably increase it by 5 minutes in a week or two since I'm not on the stationary bike as much anymore. I also lifted some weights today too. I did cardio for about 20 minutes on the elliptical machine at the Club One near Oakridge Mall. I kind of like their machines better because it looks newer and has a TV on them. Too bad I don't know how to turn them on. =( After cardio, I finished my split. Worked 3 sets on my shoulders, back, quads, and 1 set on the triceps. Very sore afterwards.

Today I spent about 20 minutes on the elliptical machine. Worked pretty hard on it since I've been indulging myself the last 4 days. I also did my first split today. Worked on hamstrings and calfs for legs. Then I did chest and biceps. Tomorrow will be shoulders, back, triceps, and quads.

Light Sunday Workout

I swam for about 40 minutes today. I tried swimming underwater again and looks like I got about 3/4 of the way across. I really want to be able to swim the length of that small pool in one breath underwater. Maybe in about 2 months I'll be able to, unless the weather gets too cold for swimming. =(

Well, I did 20 minutes of cardio on the elliptical machine and proceeded to catch up on the weight lifting that I cut short yesterday. It seems I had to cut today's short as well because my muscles were pretty sore. It's looking like I'll need to split up the weight lifting sessions again. For the rest of this week, I'll just stick to cardio and let my muscles heal.

Today I did 20 minutes on the elliptical machine and worked up a real good sweat. After that, I did 20 minutes (4.90 miles) on the stationary bike. Just wanted to keep the momentum going from the elliptical machine so I was pedaling kind of hard. I then proceeded to lift weights but felt very tired so I didn't finish all the muscle groups I normally do. I did 3 sets for my legs, chest, and lats. I tried to do back and shoulders but was really worn out. Will try to finish tomorrow in the gym.

I tried to swim today but had a hard time blowing air out of my nose as it was congested so I ended up doing a few laps and then just walking in the pool. Current weight is at 183 now. Not sure if I can hit the target I set at the beginning of the month but will still try.

Friday Feel Good Workout

I chose to skip out on dodgeball today so as not to get other people sick with my germs on the ball and such. Instead, I went to the gym to do 20 minutes of cardio on the elliptical machine. After that, I did 1 set of weights for all muscles and was done for the day. I think it will be good that I can swim tomorrow with no pain in my shoulder for once. =)

A Thursday Workout

I worked out today after taking Wednesday off due to sickness. Spent 20 minutes on the elliptical machine and maintained a high pace for the whole time. After that, I did 20 minutes (4.26 miles) on the stationary bike. It feels like doing the stationary bike is more of a cool down for me than a workout. Will either need to increase the speed or change the difficulty. Also did some weight lifting. 2 sets for major muscle groups and 2 sets for isolated muscles. Overall, I felt good. =)

Sick Tuesday Workout

Yep, even though I was sick, I still went to the gym to workout. I did 20 minutes on the elliptical machine again and another 20 minutes (4.26 miles) on the stationary bike. After the cardio, I did some weights for major muscle groups. 3 sets for each group. I failed on the back muscles on the 3rd set. I had to cheat on the 2nd to last rep because my triceps and back were already sore. 1 set for isolated muscle groups. I think by the end of next week, I should be able to increase the weights for isolated muscles by 10 pounds as well.

Came in to work and had to do some work early in the morning so my workout was cut short to just cardio today. I spent 20 minutes on the elliptical machine at a pretty high pace according to my standards and then did 20 minutes (4.53 miles) on the stationary bike. Tomorrow, I plan to lift weights as long as nothing blows up in the morning.

I swam again today and my shoulder wasn't as sore as I expected. I could fully extend my arm over my head with a bit of discomfort only. Swam for about an hour and then negated all of that by eating at a buffet. :( Guess I'll have to work extra hard tomorrow.

I tried swimming today but after 30 minutes, it was apparent it was a bad idea. I had a hard time pulling my right arm over my head and ended up just walking back and forth in the pool instead. Went home and decided to walk around to make up for the lack of exercise today and took pictures of my neighborhood for my friend.

I played dodgeball today. Well wasn't really playing, but my right arm went dead after about 30 minutes. Couldn't make a fist with my right arm afterwards so swimming is probably out of the question tomorrow. Even had a cramp in my left calf so we'll see.

I played tennis today during lunch. Didn't play for very long and didn't really work out much, so I went to the gym afterwards to run on the elliptical machine. Spent about 10 minutes and then shot some baskets. Tomorrow is dodgeball. Kind of dreading it because of the bruises I got last week, but we'll see.

I spent 20 minutes on the elliptical machine this morning. Didn't really do much of anything else. There was one stretch of about 6 minutes where I went at a higher pace, but then my legs started to feel dead and heavy so I slowed my pace down. Tomorrow I probably won't be going to the gym and playing tennis instead. We'll see since I'm still not sure yet.

Cardio Tuesday

Today I spent 20 minutes on the elliptical machine. Legs really felt the burn. After that, I spent 20 more minutes (4.30 miles) on a stationary bike which I haven't ridden in a while. Also, I lifted some weights. I did 2 sets for major muscles with 10 more pounds and for isolated muscles I stayed with my usual weight for 1 set. Overall, it was a good work out and started work kind of late because of it. Guess I will be doing a bit more cardio on Wednesday.

Went on the elliptical machine for 20 minutes today. From this week on, all cardio will be increased by 5 minutes and all weights for major muscle groups will be increased by 10 lbs. I think as an overall goal, I would like to drop down to about 178 lbs.

Dodgeball Friday

Omg, my body is so sore. We played dodgeball for 2 hours straight and there was no real rest in between. As soon as you are out, you go to the other team to start playing. I can't really throw very hard so most of the people I got out were from catching their balls. Overall, today was a really good workout and I know I will be extremely sore when I wake up tomorrow. =(

Tennis Thursday

Today, instead of going to the gym, I decided to play tennis. I spent a good hour running balls down and the left knee wasn't very sore. I was wearing the knee brace just in case but felt surprisingly well running. I'll continue to do the weight training for my leg muscles since it's been helping so far. Tomorrow, I may play dodgeball, but we'll see. My right arm is a bit sore from swinging the racket so much.

Did another 15 minutes on the elliptical machine. More of an intense run on it this time, and then lifted weights again. I did one set for each major muscle group at 10 pounds heavier than what I normally do.

I did 15 minutes on the elliptical machine on Tuesday. After that, I began to lift weights. It was increase day, so I did one set of what I normally do and then one set 10 pounds heavier. Body was quite sore afterwards.

Walk n' Roll for Ataxia

Well, today was the first ever Walk n' Roll for Ataxia event. The turnout was pretty big considering it being a first time thing. There must have been at least 75 people there. I would rate it a success based on the amount of people that showed up and the overall experience of it being fun. After that, to get my exercise in, I went swimming. I only swam about 45 minutes until I had cramps in my calf and of all places, my foot. I've never had a cramp hurt as much as the one in the foot did. Hopefully it's not too bad and I can swim again tomorrow.

I wasn't feeling as sore or tired today as I did yesterday so I did 15 minutes on the elliptical machine and then proceeded to lift some weights. I didn't do as many sets as I normally do, just about 2 sets for my hamstrings, quadriceps, shoulders, chest, back, and triceps. Shot some baskets later and all shots were pretty off.

Since my legs and arms were sore from swimming on Sunday, I decided to just keep everything light and no weights. I did about 15 minutes on the elliptical machine and then shot some baskets. Shots were feeling good.

Went swimming today. Both shoulders are pretty sore... The good thing though is that I can swim a full lap back and forth in the pool. Not consistently though as I get tired still. I was also swimming from one end to the other in one breath a little easier today but stopped since I was feeling dizzy afterwards.

Friday's workout before letting loose

I wasn't really planning to exercise today, but I figure that I will have a few drinks today and tailgate tomorrow at Stanford - SJSU. Didn't want to feel guilty so I went on the elliptical machine for 15 minutes and then the stationary bike for another 15 minutes (3.15 miles). I then lifted some light weights and did 4 sets of squats for my legs.

A Wednesday Workout

I've exercised for at least 5 days in a row now. It does feel kind of good to stay consistent, although it is probably one of the harder things to do while working out... Today I was on the elliptical machine for about 15 minutes. Wasn't an easy 15 minutes for those that were thinking it's not too hard. Then I rode a stationary bike for about 20 minutes. Once again I was wrong about the measurements... They actually are miles and not kilometers. I couldn't ride the stationary bike for too long or too far because it wasn't the seat with the back but the one with an actual bike seat which would hurt my crotch anytime I rode fast. I still managed about 4.3 miles from it.

Tuesday Workout

Rode the stationary bike again today for 25 minutes (5.34 kilometers). I think starting tomorrow, I will add more cardio like doing the elliptical machine as well. After that, I went to do squats on the machine again. 3 sets of 120 lbs. and then 1 set of 180 lbs. Felt like I would collapse after the 180 lbs. set so I walked it off by going downstairs and shooting some baskets. Will probably work out again tomorrow and then take Thursday off.

Working out on Monday

I rode the stationary bike for about 3.35 kilometers until the guy next to me started to cough like crazy and do that snot thing when your nose is running. Instead I went and did some light leg workouts. 3 sets each of squats (120 lbs.), hamstring and leg curls (60 lbs.). Left knee was a little sore but after the first set of squats, it wasn't sore much.

So as the title says... bad idea to swim today. My shoulder is really killing me now. I swam for a good bit and then it got really sore as my arm went over my head and into the water. I think tomorrow at the gym I will stick to a strict cardio workout and some squats for my knees.

Yep, as crazy as it sounds, I worked out again today. I did about 25 minutes on the stationary bike for about 5.33 km. Couldn't do any weight lifting because of yesterday. Muscles are actually still pretty sore... Next time I won't work out all the major muscle groups on the same day.

Tuesday Workout

Went to the gym today and did about 25 minutes of cardio. Apparently, I misread the units on the stationary bike and it is actually measured in kilometers and not miles. So all previous posts need to be converted to kilometers. I did a little over 5 kilometers today and then did some weight lifting. Pretty much worked all major muscle groups very lightly but went a little hard on the leg exercises. Trying to strengthen my left knee so it doesn't hurt so much when I run hard. Overall, I think today was my best workout.

Sunday Swim...

I swam today and wasn't tired out as easily as last time. I could swim from one end of the pool to the other in 1 breath but had to walk back because it was exhausting. Need to build up more lung capacity. Left shoulder is sore too, but that will go away once I get used to the motion again. Time to do some light weight lifting to get the shoulders stronger.

Swimming, YAY!

I swam again for the first time since moving to California. Went to the pool at ClubONE and it felt a lot different than the ocean. I'm sure I'll get used to it in time. I realized how much shoulder and chest muscles I've lost since moving. Couldn't really continually swim a few laps like before and ran out of breath often. Will try to go back and swim more since it doesn't hurt my knee as much and I am getting pretty good cardio out of it.

Played a "high school" girl on Sunday. Whooped 6-0, 6-1. The one game I won was on her serve. She double faulted on deuce and I had a lucky net cord winner.

Bonnie's B-Day

Rode the stationary bike today for about 5.33 miles. At lunch I went to Marvin's Garden and had a pitcher of Anchor Steam along with their Louisiana Hots. Negated my workout from this morning. =(

Sunday Stroll...

I walked to the nearest tennis courts that I know of. Turns out it was 3.571 miles away. Total walking/jogging distance is 7.142 miles... Yay me, I feel so dead. Also realized I should buy sunblock. I am pretty red.

Thursdsay Workout...

Got about 1 km in on the rowing machine and about 3.6 miles on the stationary bike before getting interrupted by work. Will probably try to make up for it later today with an actual bike ride.

Didn't make it back to the gym last night. This morning did some work and then headed out to ride the stationary bike for about 9.2 miles.

Morning Exercise

Finally got up early enough to go to the gym. Rode the stationary bike for about 10.8 miles and then got on the rowing machine for 1 km. Thinking about taking a bike ride at lunch.

I walked/jogged for 2 hours today. Legs are sore plus blister on my feet. Yay... Stationary bike for me tomorrow.
